 La Plata Canyon Waterfall, ColoradoAugust 5, 2010. A few days ago, I returned from a wonderful trip to the Rocky Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Most of my time was spent photographing wildflowers, waterfalls, sunrise/moonset and other mountain scenery in La Plata Canyon just outside of Durango. Featuring 200 talented artists, the event takes place in beautiful Woodland Park in downtown Lexington. Hours are 10-6 Saturday and 10-5 Sunday. July 9-11, 2010, The 29th Berea Craft Festival, featuring 115 top artists from 20 states, takes place under the trees at the Indian Fort Theater just outside of Berea, Ky. Take I-75 exit 76 or 77 and follow the signs to the festival site. Hours are 10-6 all 3 days. Stop in to see a collection of my new images and many old favorites. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors; children under 12 are admitted free. For more information, go to the Berea Craft Festival home page. March 6-7, 2010, the Kentucky Crafted: The Market event featuring some 300 of Kentucky's finest artists and craftsmen takes place at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville. NOTE: The U of Louisville vs. Syracuse University basketball game tips off next door at 2 pm Saturday, so if you're coming Saturday, plan to be there before noon to avoid traffic. January 7, 2009 - I've reworked the "Colorado" gallery of images, resizing those which have been on the site for a while, as well as adding a new section called "More Colorado." The latter consists of images taken from 2005 and 2006, the last time I was there. Enjoy! Nov 1, 2008 - If you're in the area of Stanton, Kentucky, which is on the outskirts of the Red River Gorge area, stop by the Bluegrass Craft and Antique Mall to see my work. My books, calendars and photographic prints are available for sale in booth #C25. The mall is behind Hardee's, just off Mountain Parkway exit 22. After exiting, go past Hardees and turn right at the light at Whitaker Bank. Just past a medical clinic on the right is the entrance to the mall parking lot. The mall is open 7 days a week. Sept 8, 2008 - I have replaced some images in Red River Gorge galleries 1,2 and 3 with newer ones. All images in those galleries are now shown in a larger size than before, and are consistent with galleries 4 and 5.
